Students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School won great achievements at the 2015 Chinese Language Festival
On the morning of December 4, 2015 Beijing Primary and Secondary School Foreign Students Chinese Festival Award Ceremony was held in Beijing Shichahai Sports School Theater。Students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School won four first prizes in composition, painting, soft brush calligraphy and poetry recitation。Due to its excellent performance, the International Department of Tsinghua High School also won the "Excellent Organization Award", and four student representatives attended the award ceremony。

The International Department of Tsinghua High School performed well in the competition, and a number of excellent works emerged。Zhang Baoyi, a Grade 8 student, won the first prize for her essay "Charming China".Grade 7 student Gao Yiwen's painting "Jiangnan Woman" and Grade 8 student Li Xinrui's painting "Chinese History and Culture (Long Volume)" won the first prize in painting;Wang Xueqing, a Grade 8 student, won the first prize of soft brush calligraphy for her work "Jiangshan Xiu through the Ages"。In addition, the music poem "Leaving People's Hearts" independently created by Grade 11 student Yang Chiangran, accompanied by the piano, drums and guitar, accompanied by the soulful men and women chanting together, gentle and clear singing and soft and graceful dancing, fully demonstrates the profound and distant artistic conception of this poem。The original poetry combined with the novel stage presentation won unanimous praise from the judges, and finally stood out from many reciting works and won the first prize in the Poetry reciting competition of this Chinese Festival。

The event was hosted by Beijing Municipal Education Commission and hosted by Beijing International Education Exchange Center and Beijing Primary and Secondary School Foreign Students Education Research Association。With the theme of "Charming China · Charming Beijing", the activities include the collection of calligraphy and painting works of foreign students in primary and secondary schools, the collection of Chinese composition and poetry recitation competition。The purpose is to allow foreign students in primary and secondary schools in Beijing to experience and feel Chinese culture, have a deep understanding of Beijing, and show their Chinese language and culture。More than 300 foreign students from 25 countries participated in the international department of more than 20 schools in Beijing, including Tsinghua High School, Renmin University High School and Beijing No. 4 High School。
